A Top Ten finish for Ryan at Assen

Ryan and the team headed to the Dutch round of WorldSBK with many positives from Portimão. They had worked hard developing the bike together and closed the gap to the group ahead.

Friday sessions didn't go quite as planned, as the changes made for FP2 sent them the wrong way, leaving them starting from scratch for FP3 and Superpole.

Undeterred, the team worked with Ryan to get back to a setting he had, and he once again improved his lap times into Superpole and Race One later that day. The race was rather eventful, but he kept his lap times consistent and came home in P15.

Sunday, the weather changed completely, and the forecast rain arrived overnight. Superpole Race became a wet race, and Ryan used this to his advantage, finishing in P10 and returning to a delighted team in the garage. I am sure it felt like a win after the frustrations of the previous

day.

Round three is now done at Assen. It was great to be back after six years, as I last raced here in 2019 in my first year on a BSB Superbike. It was great to be back here on the Motocorsa Ducati Superbike.

We enjoyed it a lot, but to be honest, it was a difficult weekend. It was not easy learning the track again; the level is so high, although it was nice to get my first top ten finish in World Superbike.

We scored points in the first race and then the last race result, doesn't give it any justice in results, but we were actually 13 seconds faster than race one and the closest we have been to the race winner in any of the races this season, so a lot of positives, my feeling is becoming better every time I ride the bike. There is little time over a race weekend to learn the new circuit and the needed changes. It's not easy, but we are doing the best job we can. We are really enjoying it and looking forward to continuing to progress.

I can't thank the team enough. Motocorsa and I look forward to Cremona in a few weeks.

Thanks for all your support!
